In conjunction with the opening Barkley Forum Novice and JV tournament,
Emory will be offering a FREE judge training session this Saturday
morning, September
5, 2015 from 9 to 10 a.m., available to any new judges who would like a
short session on judging policy debates in high school and middle school.
You do not have to be attending the tournament to take advantage of this
opportunity. If you or anyone affiliated with your program will be judging
debates for the first time this year wished to attend, please come to White
Hall on the Emory Campus by 8:45 a.m.

James Roland, Senior Director of Community Programs and Director of the
Atlanta Urban Debate League, will be teaching the art of judging to all
interested parties.

Feel free to share this widely with anyone you know who is interested in
judging middle school and high school debates.”
