Denizens of the GFCA mail list,

Are you tired of regular tournaments with no costumes and no candy? Warner Robins High School has the solution for you. Voted Robert Walker's top spooky tournament in the state this year the WRHS Spooky Speech and Demon Debate tournament is guaranteed to leave you frightened, with a belly full of food. I would sit here and wax poetically about how amazing the tournament will be, but my Co-coach is a control freak and has like 30 other things she has assigned me that I need to go do. Instead I will leave you with some testimonials from last year's tournament.

"I'm still full from last year, and I'm grumpy and old" - Richard Bracknell

"This is the best tournament in Houston County" - Probably not James Brock

"My students have so much fun that Patrick cried he was having so much fun" - Pam Childress

There will be a costume contest for both students and adults. Topics for the day are as follows

Impromptu topics:

Demon Pride: Dedicated, Empowering, Motivated, Original, Nurturing, Positive, Respectful, Inspiring, Disciplined, Empowering

Day of the Dead: Recently departed celebrities or significant people

Horror Movies: stereotypes, locations, plot points, iconic characters

Trick or Treat: popular treats or viral videos

Extemp:

Round 1: Domestic - politics / education

Round 2: International - Russia / North Korea

Round 3: Domestic - economy / environment

Round 4: International - South America / Europe

The tournament is on October 28th, 2017 and is hosted at historic Warner Robins High School.

We hope to see you there and in costume, you don't want to miss out on these prizes! Unless you don't eat candy and you hate fun. In which case you can miss out on the prizes but you are not a good person at that point and you should rethink being in debate. Its candy. It's delicious. Trust me.
