Hello,

Below is information about the Digital Debate Camp, a cost-competitive
online option sponsored by the Georgia Debate Union and led by one of our
graduate assistant coaches, Steven Murray.

Hays Watson
Head Debate Coach
University of Georgia

Digital Debate Camp (http://digitaldebatecamp.com/)

Do you have students who are interested in summer debate camp but either
cannot afford the expense or have other obligations which preclude
attendance? It seems like every summer there are dozens upon dozens of high
school debaters with talent, drive, and determination but who are unable to
attend summer camp. Inevitably, those students tend to fall behind their
peers. Thankfully, there is an alternative: The Digital Debate Camp. The
camp is entering its 7th summer of providing quality education, on par with
any physical camp, at a fraction of the cost. *For only $400* students can
enroll in camp that lasts over 8 weeks (from June 1st to August 1st). The
Digital Debate Camp employs college debaters and coaches from across the
country to provide the same level of instruction you would find anywhere
else with the added benefits of one-on-one/small group instruction (instead
of cumbersome 20+ student labs) and tailored programs suited to fit your
debater, their needs, and the type of debate they will engage in throughout
the year. This summer the Digital Debate Camp will host CX, PF, and LD
students. *Scholarships are available* and aggressively provided to ensure
that any student regardless of income can have equal access to summer
instruction. The Digital Debate Camp has officially begun *but late
registration is always available*.
Additionally, a more thorough staff list is now available:

Steven Murray (MA): Camp director and owner, this is Steven's 6th year
running the Digital Debate Camp. In Steven's tenure as a coach he has been
a part of 2 state championships, 2 TOC quarter finalist appearances, and
multiple NDT qualifications (most recently at UGA). Steven emphasizes a
philosophy of developing well-rounded, versatile, and flexible debaters.

Shree Asware (JD): returning to his 4th summer with the Digital Debate Camp
as Assistant Director of Debate, Shree is a highly experienced debate coach
at both the high school and college levels. Shree's mastery of philsophy
pairs well with his love of politics and in-depth case debate.

Andrew Hart (MA): With significant knowledge of the particular contours of
Georgia debate, Andrew applies his years of teaching experience in the
classroom to his coaching style to meet the needs of debaters whether they
stick to the local circuit or aim to debate nationally.

Clay Stewart (BA): a well-known and much-loved figure in the Atlanta
Lincoln-Douglas scene, Clay will be leading the LD side of the DDC and will
bring his years of experience working with both the UDL and nationally
competitive debaters to serve the needs to students at all expertise levels.

Savon Ayodeji: A DDC alumni, Savon is pioneering Public Forum coach who
uses an online coaching platform year round, and has produced numerous
national qualifiers through his unique style of digital pedagogy. Savon
will be leading the Public Forum side of our camp.

Tyler Thur: policy extraordinaire Tyler Thur has shown immense success as a
debater at Michigan State University and will bring his deep knowledge of
traditional policy arguments as a lecturer and evidence coach.

Jasmine Stidham: a master of both Fem IR and Politics, Jasmine has reached
incredible success in college policy debate despite debating at a so-called
"small school." Jasmine brings her expertise in maximizing resources to
create winning season-long strategies for teams that will resonate long
after camp has ended.
