<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Hello, everyone! <br><br>There has been some confusion (and I'm including myself here) regarding what exactly constitutes a Novice/JV Debater for 1st/2nd Year State. Here are the key bylaws to clear everything up:<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><br>First & <span class="">Second </span>Year State Tournament Qualification<div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">(a) First Year students are defined as students competing </div><div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">in their first year of high school speech and debate </div><div class="" style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">activities. Second Year students are defined as students competing in their second year of high school speech and </div><div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">debate.   </div><div style="font-size:18.9608px;font-family:serif"></div><div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">(b) Students receive qualification to the First & Second Year </div><div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">tournament by attending two in-state invitationals in </div><div style="font-size:17.3491px;font-family:serif">that event for that school year prior to the State Tournament.</div></div><br>-- <br><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div>Brandon Kendall<br>Starr's Mill High School<br></div>
