Coaches,<div><br></div><div>Due to some drops in all events we have modified the schedule to fit the current entry levels. </div><div>You can find it here: <a href="http://www.joyoftournaments.com/ga/gfca-var/info.asp?p=2">http://www.joyoftournaments.com/ga/gfca-var/info.asp?p=2</a> and as the attached document.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Please note a couple of significant changes:</div><div><br></div><div>1) Policy Debate will have 6 preliminary rounds and break to Quarterfinals. Due to the entry level falling below 40 entries, we will be breaking to Quarterfinals. To avoid the possibility of a "down 1" team failing to break, we've added the 6th preliminary round. We will keep five preliminary rounds in other debate events due to time constraints and double entries.</div>
<div><br></div><div>2) Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Prose & Poetry, and Duo Interpretation will have a 3rd preliminary round on Friday evening. We wanted to add a 3rd preliminary round for Speech events that do not conflict with Lincoln Douglas or Public Forum to free up more time on Saturday. The advantage to adding a third IE round on Friday night allows for more students to be able to watch the Finals of the Interpretation events on Saturday.</div>
<div><br></div><div>3) Opening Assembly has been added at 1:00pm and will be held in IC (Instructional Center) 103. We have added the opening assembly to go over some policies and to present a couple of special awards donated by Robinson Rewards. More details regarding the awards will be given at the Assembly. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Please do not hesitate to ask any questions - thank you and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at registration!</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div><br></div><div>Jeffrey Miller</div>
