We are ten days away from the GFCA Varsity State Championship. We will be naming the 2011 Coach(es) of the Year at the State Tournament. The nomination process is open for ten days prior to the tournament. Nominations are due by March 23, 2011 to Jeffrey Miller (<a href="mailto:jmill126@gmail.com">jmill126@gmail.com</a>) and Adam Smiley (<a href="mailto:Smiley@fultonschools.org">Smiley@fultonschools.org</a>). The official ballots will be sent out on March 24, 2011 and voting will take place at the State Tournament. If you will not be at the State Tournament and are a member school, we will send out instructions for Absentee Ballot voting.</p>

Recipients are then selected based on the following criteria:<br>(1) The candidate is in good standing with the GFCA.<br>(2) The candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for forensic activities.<br>(3) The candidate has a high regard and respect for the students s/he works with.<br>
(4) The candidate has a high regard and respect for fellow coaches.<br>(5) The candidate works toward the improvement of the GFCA and forensic activities in Georgia.<br>(6) The candidate promotes interest in interscholastic forensic activities through the strength of her/his program.<br>
