Just thought I would forward this email from Pius’ secretary. Apparently, he has a terminal case of brain cancer. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Many of you will remember Ken Grodd, a member of our Social Studies department from 1984 – 2002. Ken called me today with the sad news that he has brain cancer. He wanted his friends and colleagues to know that his prognosis is not good. It was discovered recently after symptoms began in September. He is scheduled for surgery on November 23. Quite frankly, I have never had such a conversation with a friend, calling to essentially ‘say goodbye’ and requesting that I tell those who know him that he would welcome hearing from us. I promised him I would get the word out and add his name to our prayer list. I have his home phone number, and will have his address. He lives in Tampa, Florida now. If you would like to get in touch with him, please respond to this email and I will send you the information. Please keep him and his wife in your prayers.

Feel free to forward this message to anyone you know that would also want to know.
