[GFCA] Announcing a Sponsor for the Varsity State Tournament

Hi, coaches,

I hope everyone enjoys their holiday season and thought there was no better
way to kick off the holiday season with a major announcement from the
Executive Committee.

The GFCA is excited to announce that we have agreed to terms with Summit
Debate to be a main sponsor for the public forum division at the 2017 GFCA
Varsity State Championship!

Summit Debate is a leading summer debate education provider for public
forum debate, lincoln douglas debate, extemporaneous speaking and original
oratory. They offer three brands of summer institutes (National Debate
Forum for PF/LD, Interprod for Interp/OO, and EXL for Extemp). The summer
institutes are hosted at Emerson College (Boston, MA) and Simpson College

Summit Debate is lead by Jenny Cook (former coach at University School, FL)
and Dave Kraft (speech coach at Leland, CA).  Summit Debate works as a
partner of the National Speech & Debate Association as a main sponsor for
the NJFL Middle School National Championship in the summer.  After seeing
their commitment to student's education in speech and debate last summer, I
am proud to call Summit Debate a partner this year.

Jenny will join us during the tournament to provide competitors and coaches
more information about their programs as well as judge elimination debates
in many events.

The sponsorship will be directed towards covering the Saturday lunch for
all competitors, rather than charging schools and students for the meal.
Don't worry though it won't be pizza - instead because of the sponsorship,
the GFCA will be bringing in three different food trucks for hospitality on
that Saturday!
