[GFCA] GFCA Coach of the Year Nomination Process

Coaches,

We are eleven days away from the GFCA Varsity State Championship. We will
be naming the 2012 Coach(es) of the Year at the State Tournament. The
nomination process is open for ten days prior to the tournament.
Nominations are due by March 2, 2012 to Jeffrey Miller (jmill126 at gmail.com)
and Richard Bracknell (richard.bracknell at carrolltoncityschools.net) . The
official ballots will be sent out on March 3, 2012 and voting will end on
Wednesday March 7th. There will be no voting at the State Tournament, so
please turn in your ballots early and before the tournament.

Please use the Nomination form that is attached.

We will again be giving two (2) Coach of the Year Awards. One is dedicated
to a coach of speech events and one is dedicated to a coach of debate
events.

Recipients are then selected based on the following criteria:
(1) The candidate is in good standing with the GFCA.
(2) The candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for forensic activities.
(3) The candidate has a high regard and respect for the students s/he works
with.
(4) The candidate has a high regard and respect for fellow coaches.
(5) The candidate works toward the improvement of the GFCA and forensic
activities in Georgia.
(6) The candidate promotes interest in interscholastic forensic activities
through the strength of her/his program.
(7) The candidate has acquired the respect of the students s/he works with
as well as other students in the community.
