In our efforts to promote increased participation at in-state
tournaments and reward the students that perform well in the state of
Georgia, the North Fulton tournaments have decided to create a series of
awards for sustained success by individual students/teams at the 5 North
Fulton tournaments: Chattahoochee, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Northview,
and Milton. We have created 4 awards that will be handed out at the
Milton awards ceremony:
The Jim Wade Award: Given to the student that performs the best in
Lincoln Douglass Debate.
The Ted Wolfe Award: Given to the student that performs the best in
Individual Events.
The Steve Stein Award: Given to the team that performs the best in
Policy Debate.
The Beth McMahon Award: Given to the team that performs the best in
Public Forum Debate.
Points towards these awards can be earned at any of the North Fulton
tournaments. Students will be awarded points using the GFCA sweepstakes
formula. If a tournament ends before finals, seeding will be used to
award points. Points will only be earned in Varsity/Open divisions.
