Dear Coaches,

            Warner Robins High School cordially invites you to attend our twenty-sixth annual Forensics Tournament on October 8, 2011.

            Please register on Joy of Tournaments at http://joyoftournaments.com/  by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6.  Registration will be set up on JOT soon.


            Policy Debate (Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Novice) will use the 2011-2012 topic (Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its exploration and/or development of space beyond the Earth's mesosphere).  Policy debaters may not double-enter in other events.


            Lincoln-Douglas will use the September-October topic (Resolved: Justice requires the recognition of animal rights).   Public Forum will use the October topic (Resolved: Private sector investment in human space exploration is preferable to public sector investment).  L-D and Public Forum debaters may not double-enter in other events.

            DI, HI, Extemp., OO, Duo, Impromptu, and Prose/Poetry contestants may double-enter in I.E.'s but not in PF, L-D, or Policy.  Memorization of scripts in DI, HI, Duo, and OO is encouraged but not required.  Extemp. and Impromptu speakers may use one notecard.  Impromptu speakers will have a total of seven minutes in each round to prepare and speak.  Prose/Poetry contestants will use manuscripts to read prose in two rounds and poetry in two rounds.

Individual Events                       $10.00 per entry (1 Duo = $10), $20.00 for a double-entered student
Lincoln-Douglas                         $10.00 per debater
Policy Debate                           $25.00 per team
Public Forum                             $20.00 per team
Student Congress                      No charge
Schools must provide one judge for every four debaters and one judge for every 5 individual events entries.
If hiring a Judge:                        $100.00 per judge. ($50.00 for two debaters, $25.00 for one LD debater.
                                                $80.00 for four IE entries, $60.00 for three, $40.00 for two, $20.00 for one.)
 (Schools should not hire more than 1 judge.)
