Associate Director of Debate
University of Georgia
Position Description:
Full-time, non-tenure track Associate Director of Debate position in the Department of Communication Studies beginning in August of 2012. Salary for this position is very competitive. Responsibilities include instructing the members of the Georgia Debate Union, travel to tournament competitions, attending squad meetings, participating practice debate, listening to practice speeches, facilitating research, participation in debate outreach projects, hosting an interscholastic and intercollegiate tournament, classroom instruction, undergraduate recruiting, and limited administrative duties associated with debate travel.
Qualifications:
Documented success coaching policy debate students at the intercollegiate or interscholastic level required. The candidate should have an understanding of the paperless debate protocol. Additionally, the candidate should be a licensed driver. An advanced degree in Communication Studies preferred.
