[GFCA] Policy Debate Coaches only- State info

We are looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend for the State
Championship.  I wanted to send out a few notes and requests as we
prepare.

 

First, the mutual pref system will open on Joy of Tournaments later this
afternoon.  I will send out an e-mail when it is open.  Instructions are
now posted on the joy of tournaments website under the "judge pref
selection" link.  While you will mark your preclusions as a C, I would
also like coaches to e-mail me the names of any judges in the pool that
should not judge their kids.  The pref system will close at 8 pm on
Thursday night.  

 

Second, we are using 2 buildings for policy debate this weekend.  The
two buildings are about 5 minutes apart.  This presents some time
challenges.  To try to minimize these time challenges and help the
tournament run on time, we would like to have some volunteers to help
run ballots.  If any schools want to bring 1-2 additional team members
to donate to the tab room to assist in running ballots, we would
appreciate any assistance.

 

Third, we do want to be aware of which teams will be debating paperless
and which teams will have tubs.  If your team will be using tubs, please
e-mail that information to me.
