[GFCA] A Concern

Good morning all,

I hope this email finds each of you well.  This bothered me after I left Carrollton and is still on my heart very heavily this morning, so I thought that I just needed to express my concern.  I hope I'm not out of line.  I attended the GFCA state tournament held this past weekend in Carrollton (thanks Mr. Bracknell for hosting and all of the others that made the tournament a success!)  However, I'm always VERY mindful of the request that was made to the coaches early in the season about respect for the school that hosts a tournament.  With that being said, I was appalled to see many of the classrooms I passed in disarray after rounds.  One room, the CBA side room (for lack of knowing the proper name), was totally trashed after round 4 or 5.  It was awful!  I was ashamed for our organization and the lack of respect shown to Carrollton High School.  We were all sent an email from a fellow coach early in the debate season in regards to respecting the host school when we attend.  I always remind my teams to pick up behind themselves and to leave the room as straightened as possible.  As a judge, I have the teams and/or myself to pick up after the round.  It's just the right thing to do. So, I'm pleading to each of you to admonish your students to be respectful of the school hosting the tournament.  It doesn't take a lot of effort to leave things the way you find them.  Please help!  Thanks for listening.
