I strongly encourage schools to vote NO on By-Law 4 so that we can
clarify the use of electronic communication between debate partners.
There was substantial discussion about this earlier in the week, and
while there was not agreement about internet use, many people agreed
that this rule needs clarification to allow students to use jump drives
to transfer speeches from one computer to another.

Subject: [GFCA] Voting on the By-Laws
Coaches,
We have opened voting on the proposed By-Laws of the Georgia Forensic
Coaches' Association. All debate schools will be allowed to vote on the
initial voting. The voting can be found at the following website:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/52FK9BX
The voting block will conclude on Monday October 25 at 5:00pm.
You are voting on the by-laws that were sent out on Monday. Please note:
The only change that has been made since Monday is on page 13 where Adam
found the typo in 4.37a. The sentence now reads, "8-15 entries requires
a semifinal round." Another copy of the bylaws are attached.
Thank you for your time,
Jeffrey Miller
GFCA Secretary
