I agree with Maggie on both of these points.
It seems like the parentheses on the computer use clause should say:
"this does not prohibit electronic communication between the participants in the round"
This would allow more methods of sending speeches to the other participants and sharing evidence.
This would still apply to the real issues because it would ban doing new research during rounds, communicating with individuals watching the round, or communicating electronically from outside of the round.
As far as Jenny's points regarding research during the round, I am a little uncomfortable with this as long as a segment of the competitors are not using computers. Allowing in round research would give an advantage to the team using computers.
